I had the most amazing experience working with walker Books in the picture book department. Just finished my internship with them. They let me work on several books that are coming out soon, I got to observe the different stages a book goes through from start to finish. I even got to meet illustrators such as Chris Haughton! Really chuffed and star stuck. I even got to keep a Wheres Wally mug :)
So much goes into making a book from the concept to the printing process and promotion. It has really opened my eyes to how much the publishing side of things help you with as an illustrator or writer. I feel like I was in safe hands now if I was to ever make a children's book.
